Blue and white Delft pitcher with pewter lid
Pitcher in the Delft style, a decorative ceramic piece inspired by one of Holland's most recognizable ceramic traditions: blue decoration on a light background. Its original function was to serve liquids, especially at the table or on a sideboard, but today it also stands out as a decorative piece for display cabinets, classic kitchens, living rooms, ceramic collections, or corners with antique charm.
This Delft pitcher features a bulbous body, high neck, side handle, and pouring spout. The top pewter lid, articulated by a hinge next to the handle, provides a very characteristic and elegant detail. On the base, a mark with the name Delft can be seen, which reinforces its identification within this blue and white ceramic aesthetic so appreciated by collectors and lovers of classic decor.
A ceramic piece with tradition, color, and decorative value
Pitcher of great visual appeal due to its contrast between the warm white of the ceramic, the intense blue of the floral decoration, and the aged metallic tone of the pewter lid. Its dimensions of 14 x 14 x H33 cm make it an easy piece to place and with enough presence to stand out in a display cabinet, sideboard, shelf, or side table.
In the images, one can appreciate a highly detailed floral decoration, with leaves, flowers, geometric borders on the neck, and decorative motifs on the base. The rounded body provides volume, while the raised handle and pouring spout retain their original function. The metal lid adds a touch of antiquity and uniqueness, making this Delft pitcher a limited, distinct piece with great ornamental value.
