Antique lamp with history, light, and decorative elegance
This antique lamp in Pickman La Cartuja earthenware is a decorative and functional piece with an extraordinary presence. Its original and current function is to provide light, but its value goes far beyond mere utility: it is designed to dress up a sideboard, a chest of drawers, a side table, or a special corner with a classic and highly refined aesthetic. The images show a baluster vase silhouette with elegant proportions, mounted as a table lamp without a shade, which allows the full visual richness of the piece to be appreciated.
A Pickman La Cartuja piece that transforms any corner
Measuring 17.5 x 12 x H38 cm, this lamp offers a very balanced format, easy to integrate into living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, or offices. The earthenware body features green decoration on an ivory background, with a charming landscape scene: classicist architecture, a bridge, vegetation, figures, and a composition inspired by romantic and oriental landscapes, which is highly characteristic of historical decorative ceramics. There is also a continuous floral border on the neck and base, which frames the whole with great elegance.
One of its most attractive features is the visible crazing of the glaze, which adds texture, age, and visual authenticity. The upper metal mount in an aged brass tone reinforces its vintage character, and the wiring confirms that it is a functional piece ready to continue decorating with light. This lamp does not retain its shade, which actually helps the ceramic body become the true decorative protagonist. In Portugal, such a piece is highly valued for its classic elegance and its ability to add immediate sophistication to any environment.
This lamp is ideal for those seeking a decorative antique with its own identity, useful in day-to-day life and capable of providing warmth and distinction. It is a unique piece, limited by its singularity, perfect for collectors, lovers of Pickman La Cartuja, or buyers who want a decorative object with real history and presence.
