Mahogany display table with beveled glass
This mahogany display table combines the function of a horizontal display case with the utility of a coffee table. Its glazed top allows you to view the objects placed inside without needing to handle them.
The piece features beveled glass, transparent side panels, and a mirrored bottom. These elements promote the entry of light and offer different perspectives of the items on display.
Its measurements are 107 × 51 × H46.5 cm.
What is the function of this display table?
The primary function of this piece is to showcase and protect collections within a closed, visible space. The hinged lid allows for convenient access to the interior to organize or replace objects.
It is suitable for presenting:
- Watches and small tabletop pieces.
- Coins, medals, and numismatic items.
- Jewelry, brooches, and accessories.
- Miniatures and porcelain figurines.
- Fans, documents, and family keepsakes.
- Small antiques and decorative objects.
When the lid is closed, it can be used as a coffee table or low living room table. However, it is advisable to protect the glass and avoid impacts, excessive weight, or very hot containers.
Classic design and display from different angles
The mahogany display table features a rectangular body surrounded by glass panels. This structure allows the collection to be viewed from the top and from the sides.
The mirrored interior bottom reflects the objects and adds greater luminosity. It also allows for appreciating details of the bases that would normally remain hidden inside a conventional display case.
The lid opens via three metal hinges. Its wide mahogany frame helps protect the glass and makes it easier to lift with care.
The upper perimeter features a repetitive vegetable-themed carving. This decoration breaks up the sobriety of the straight lines and connects visually with the carved legs.
The four curved legs show scrolls and foliage motifs. Their design adds a classic presence and elevates the display case to a suitable height for use as a living room table.
A horizontal display case for the living room
This mahogany display table allows a private collection to become part of everyday decor. It can be placed in front of a sofa, between two armchairs, or in the center of a room.
It is also interesting for shops, hotels, offices, house museums, and exhibition spaces. Its horizontal format allows for presenting small objects in an orderly and protected manner.
The reddish finish of the mahogany combines especially well with gold metals, silver, porcelain, glass, and light-toned objects.
There is no lock visible in the photographs. Therefore, it is intended for display and protection against dust, but should not be considered a security display case.
